Lady Titans breeze through 46th district

The Lady Titans won their ninth consecutive district championship in convincing fashion, 64-13, on a night where defense was the theme. West Jessamine  struggled to score and get in a rhythm throughout the game, and Coach Chris Souder’s team took full advantage of that.

This is the time of year the Mercer County Lady Titans usually end up in the win column and Thursday night was no different against the Lady Colts (21-9).

“Our whole practice has been geared towards working on our half-court man-to-man defense,” said Souder, “I told them that they were athletic enough and smart enough that there is no reason why we can’t be a good half-court defense team.”
