Blanche Alsip, 98, widow of Forrest Alsip died Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at her residence. Funeral arrangements are incomplete at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home.
CHRISTINE DALEY
Christine Rachels Daley, 92, of Statesboro, GA, formerly of Harrodsburg, died July 18 at Brown’s Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center in Statesboro. Born in Warthen/Washington County, GA June 5, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Florence Rachels. She was very active as member of the Beechwood Baptist and Hurstbourne Baptist Churches consecutively serving as Women’s Sunday School teacher, member of the Women’s Missionary Society, and one of the earliest pianist as a charter member of Hurstbourne. She was also a longtime member of the Board Wives’ Club of the Kentucky Baptist Convention.
ARTHUR HUFFMAN
Arthur C. Huffman, 89, of Harrodsburg, died Monday, July 26, 2010 at the Harrodsburg Health Care Center.
Born Dec. 29, 1920 in Cornishville, he was the son of the late James R. and Lillie Mae Foster Huffman. He attended Centre College and the University of Kentucky and worked in the hotel industry in Washington, D.C.
HOMER ROBINSON
Homer Robinson, 69, died Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at his residence. Born April 14, 1941 in Washington County, he was the son of the late Haskell Marion and Hattie Pearl Puckett Robinson. He was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church and was a retired mechanic having owned East Side Auto Service for many years.
JAMES SCOTT
James Archie Scott, 94, died Saturday, July 23, 2010. Born in Pike County, he attended Duke University, Morehead State University, and the University of Kentucky. For most of his life he was self-employed, owning a chain of shoe stores in Dallas, TX. He was a faithful member of the Church of Christ serving as a deacon, teacher, and occasional preacher.
MARY ROSE SEXTON
Mary Rose Sexton, 89, of Harrodsburg, died Friday, July 23, 2010 at the James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital.
Born June 29, 1921 in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late George and Julia Jenkins Sexton. She was a homemaker.
WALLACE SHEPERSON
Wallace Leslie Sheperson, 89, of Harrodsburg, husband of Betty Hill Sheperson, died Sunday, July 25, 2010 at the James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital. Born Nov. 6, 1920 in Mercer County, he was the son of the late James and Addie Owens Sheperson. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, a farmer, the owner of the B & S Grocery and a member of the Bohon Church of Christ.

Keegan Scot Southers, one year old infant, died Sunday, July 25, 2010, at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center.
He was the son of Bruce and Julie Southers of Hebron.
EDWARD “BUDDY” TURPIN
The Rev. Edward Wayne “Buddy” Turpin, 59, husband of Lana Stratton Turpin, died Saturday, July 24, 2010 at Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington.
Born March 30, 1951 in Boyle County, he was the son of Gladys Lucille Preston Turpin of Harrodsburg and the late Edward Arvis Turpin. He was the pastor of the Perryville Church of God.
