Hundreds cool off in Anderson-Dean pool

An aerial view of the Anderson-Dean Community Park aquatic center, taken from on top of the big slide, shows approximately 240 people enjoying the sun and cool water. Most days, more than 300 visit the pool. Pictured below at left is toddler Aleah Stigall wading into the shallowest end of the kiddie pool. At right below, boys play in the splash section of the pool. The pool is open every day. Hours are: Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, 1-6 p.m. Admission is $5 for everyone over three feet tall and $3 for those under 3 feet or senior citizens.
